FAQ

What types of spaces do you work in? – We can polish or epoxy floors in homes, garages, retail spaces, restaurants, showrooms, commercial spaces, and more! If there’s concrete, we can enhance it!

Do you offer Free Estimates or consultations? – Yes, we’re happy to assess your space and provide a quote tailored to your goals!

Is polished concrete eco-friendly? – Yes! It repurposes your existing slab, reduces the need for coatings, and improves energy efficiency because of light reflection.

Can I choose how shiny the floor looks? –Absoutely. We offer finishes from matte to high-gloss.

Will polishing remove stains or cracks? – Grinding can reduce surface stains, but deep discoloration or cracks may remain visible. We offer poaching and color blending options to minimize their appearance.

What kind of maintenance does Polished Concrete require? – It’s low maintenance. Just regular dust mopping and occasional damp mopping with clean water (no soap). No waxing or sealing needed regularly.

Can you polish damaged concrete? – Yes! We assess the condition and can often restore older slabs with patching, grinding, and polishing techniques.

How long does the polishing process take? – Project timelines vary based on square footage, condition of the concrete, and desired finish. Most residential jobs take 2-4 days.

Is polished concrete slippery? – Despite its glossy appearance, polished concrete offers a good traction. We can also apply anti-slip treatments if needed.

What is concrete Polishing? – This process involves mechanically grinding the concrete surface to achieve the desired level of aggregate exposure, followed by progressively honing to attain a refined sheen. A densifier is then applied to chemically harden the surface, enhancing durability and minimizing dusting over time.

How long does an epoxy floor last? – When properly installed and maintained, a high quality epoxy flake floor can last 10 to 20 years or more, depending on traffic levels, usage, and maintenance.

What is an epoxy flake flooring system? – An epoxy flake flooring system is a durable concrete coating that combines epoxy resin with decorative vinyl flakes. The flakes create a textured, slip-resistant finish while adding color and visual appeal.

Where can epoxy flake flooring be installed? – They are commonly installed in garages, basements, workshops, commercial spaces, warehouses, showrooms, patios, and other concrete surfaces.

Is an epoxy floor slippery? – The decorative flakes and optional textured topcoat help improve traction. While any floor can become slippery when wet, epoxy flake systems provide better slip resistance than smooth concrete.

How long does installation take? – Most residential garage floors can be completed in 2 days, depending on the size of the area, surface condition, and weather conditions (if outdoors).

How do I clean and maintain an epoxy flake floor? – Maintenance is simple. Regular sweeping and occasional mopping with a mild cleaner are usually all that’s needed to keep the floor looking great.

Will my hot tires damage my epoxy floor? – A professionally installed epoxy flake system with a quality top coat is designed to resist hot tire pickup, a common issue with lower-quality coatings.
